Job Description

The Position

We’re seeking a part time (initially 24 hours per week with scope to increase) Finance amp; Admin Manager to ensure the smooth running of the company’s finance and administrative functions. You’ll be responsible for working with our accountants to ensure smooth running of our finances, HR admin, office management and other general back office tasks required to keep the company going, as well as taking on other ad-hoc projects as required by the founders. You’ll actively optimise all processes and software used in each of these functions, and orchestrate decision making alongside the two founders. The position will be initially remote but may involve working from the office from time to time in a flexible work environment in the future.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in running or being involved centrally in a well organised finance function.
  • Has previous experience overseeing and managing general office and admin functions to allow everything to run as smoothly as possible.
  • Is well organised and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

The Responsibilities of the roll will entail:

  • Managing the finance function including bookkeeping, expenses, payroll, bill payments, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Managing the relationship with our accountants (who handle the heavy lifting including bookkeeping on some of the finance functions).
  • Managing various office admin including on-boarding and off boarding team members, pensions, holiday calculations, reporting sickness, ordering team equipment and more.
  • Taking on other ad-hoc projects as required by the founders, which may also involve other divisions of the business.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Some form of professional finance qualification.
  • Experience using Xero.
  • Experience of modelling including Cash Flow and Profit amp; Loss Statements.
