Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

To support and lead a variety of indirect procurement projects using all methods available from quick benchmarking to full structured RFP. Complete market research to keep up to date on changing product trends, innovation, price movements and legislative requirements. Analysis of category spend data to identify critical suppliers and potential cost saving opportunities. Respond to ad-hoc work and managing appropriate stakeholders as defined by the Global Category governance models. Collate key supplier and contract performance measurement data, while mitigating risk and drive continuous improvement.

Specific Tasks:

  • Deliver cost reduction projects to support on-going business objectives
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, to drive quality and continuous improvement
  • Source a range of diverse sustainable products and services specific to Rentokil Initial
  • Collaborate with procurement colleagues and the UK business to propose new ideas, manage implementation and deliver positive results
  • Support negotiations and draft contracts or service level agreements (typically up to 5m p.a.) in accordance with policies and processes Update supplier catalogues ensuring accurate pricing in place
  • Conduct ongoing supplier spend analysis to support UK / international projects; including acquisitions
  • Authorise new supplier requests based on criteria

Key Skills amp; Abilities

  • Solid procurement experience (conducted tenders RFI, RFP etc)
  • Very good influencing and persuasion skills
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Independent worker but is also a flexible team player
  • Positive relationship building abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Specific Experience

Previous experience in procurement of:

  • business travel-related services
  • facilities management (print, etc)
  • professional services (marketing, recruitment, HR, legal etc.)
  • Using spend analysis data to develop opportunities
  • waste management (not essential)
  • PPE / uniforms (not essential)
  • Maximising International supplier framework agreements (not essential)

Qualifications

CIPs accreditation (working towards or qualified preferred)

Good capability in the use of key tools within the Microsoft Office suite

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (not essential)
