Methods Analytics?is currently recruiting for a?Senior Business Analyst to join our team on a?permanent?basis. This role will require flexibility to travel to client sites, and is expected to be based in Sheffield, Bristol or London.


Please note due to current COVID restrictions this role will be remote working until restrictions have been lifted.

Requirements

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for setting strategy and objectives for small to large transformation projects and programmes. Working with other members of the delivery team you will be responsible for eliciting the actual needs of stakeholders and applying this knowledge to delivery targets and goals to aid in successfully project delivery to maximise benefits. This will frequently involve investigating and clarifying their expressed desires in order to determine underlying potential issues and causes of misunderstanding. As a business analyst you will work within the organisation, either on client projects or internal deliverables helping to manage, change and plan in line with local goals and strategic objectives. The work could be for one specific project, or as a permanent feature of the organisation.

Our broad expectation of our Business Analyst is that the successful candidate will identify and support business change through a full Data transformation or software development cycle. This includes assessing impact, developing features, communicating user stories and overseeing the quality and implementation of solutions.

The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the delivery, working closely with the Product Owner, Development Teams, Data Scientists and other stakeholders to understand the complexity of delivery but translated into clear and simple communications and document business needs and opportunities in order to create value for customers of the product or service.

You will also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how information technology can support the organisation's needs.


The Senior Business Analyst will:

  • Support your staff and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues.
  • Define and implement plans to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
  • Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole.
  • Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function or product provided.
  • Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes.
  • Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make.
  • Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations.
  • Gain agreement, from senior management, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business.
  • Communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern.
  • Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary.
