With an explosion in home fitness and over a decade of elite level and commercial fitness success under its belt, Wattbike is embarking on expansion programmes for it’s Direct to Consumer Business both in the UK and in overseas markets, as we take our hardware and digital training philosophy to the health and fitness masses.
Our product is truly market leading and is already used by the biggest names in professional sport and thousands of everyday athletes around the world and this new role will make a huge contribution in driving Wattbike’s growth whilst significantly improving efficiency.

The Role
Reporting into the Digital Product Manager, you will help Wattbike build and maintain the next level of best-in-class training equipment and software. While not requiring a technical background the role will integrate with the product development team at all stages of the development process and lead the testing and verification of new features, content, upgrades and integrations with third party apps.
The role will be quite dynamic and as such the successful candidate will need to be comfortable with a flexible schedule and planning their own timelines and testing strategies in conjunction with the Digital Product Manager and Head of Product.
You will be responsible for
- Working with Wattbike's app developers to test new features during development
- Working with the latest iOS and Android devices to check app and Wattbike compatibility, picking up issues and areas for UX improvement before app releases
- Regression testing firmware and apps to ensure robust and stable apps are delivered
- Working with the Wattbike community to investigate quality issues
- Testing integrations with third party apps such as Zwift, TrainerRoad, The Sufferfest. with Wattbike products
- Developing testing protocols and processes
- Reporting back not just on bugs, but areas where user experience improvements can be made across Wattbike's digital and physical product
- Validating user reported issues and providing documentation to developers
- Communicating with third parties such as Zwift, TrainerRoad, The Sufferfest. with UX and integration enhancements
- Have a real impact in the quality and direction of Wattbike's products
Requirements
What we are looking for from you
- To be very thorough and detail oriented
- Ideally a cyclist/keen sportsperson who understands training with power, what the ride experience should feel like, and what to expect from the data they are looking at in training apps
- Someone familiar with the apps and devices in this space
- Able to spend much of the day on a Wattbike testing content, features, firmware and hardware
- Articulate and able to report back both written and verbally the issues and feedback raised
- Able to manage their own daily work schedule and define their own processes (with support)
- While we're not looking for an IT specialist the candidate will need to be familiar and comfortable with mobile technology and and interest in this area is a bonus
