About the role
We are looking for a motivated Infrastructure Operations Engineer who will work within the InfraOps Team to focus on enabling our advanced Information Discovery Platform powered by Big Data tech. We need expert, execution-focused engineers to help shape the future of our platform and to help us scale our already sizable effort greatly. As an engineer in Exonar, you'll build and maintain clusters of containers and its corresponding ecosystem required to ensure resilience, reliability of our services and speed up deployments with the aim of improving our products used by hundreds of customers every day.
What will keep you busy?
- Work within a lean team in quick iterations on large impactful projects
- Ensure infrastructure architecture is scalable, responsive, and reliable
- Automate everything with tools and workflows
- Evaluate and select tools and technologies needed for efficient support of the systems
- Keep our software platform cost-effective by improving performance and increasing utilisation
Requirements
- Working knowledge of containers (LXC and Docker) required.
- Deep understanding of virtualization philosophies, principles and technologies
- Solid working knowledge of Linux (ideally CentOS/RedHat) and Windows Server required
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role required
- Proven understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, and related networking protocols, technologies and security related protocols (SSH, HTTPS, IPsec, etc.)
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Bash or PowerShell required
- Experience with Puppet and Ansible is required
- Experience working with CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins) required
- Experience using Source Control/Repositories (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket) required
- Experience with key cloud platforms/providers, including but not limited to Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Service and Google Cloud
- Experience designing, managing, building, configuring, administering, operating and maintaining solutions based on ElasticSearch, HBase, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ
- A strong desire to learn and contribute across a variety of technologies and disciplines
- Obsessively focused on customer satisfaction and attention to detail in your work
- Love of working in a fast-moving, constantly changing team environment
- Ability to quickly diagnose and solve problems collaboratively
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
