Job Description
The Director of Security is responsible for protecting our physical assets, people and places from a variety of threats.
The role will be responsible for ensuring all activities are conducted in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
We are happy to accept applications from anyone who is based within a commutable distance of any of our London, Cardiff or Southampton offices.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting physical security standards across the Bank’s premises and on a remote-basis for home-workers
- Determine the security needs for our premises and work with our Facilities and Vendor Management teams to implement security best practice
- Gather intelligence in relation to any threats and take appropriate action
- Review communication channels such as email and social media for threats and advise on response and action
- Provide advice, reassurance and training to our people on security awareness and in response to specific threats
- Provide, or arrange the provision of, physical security for our people as an when needed
- Develop our Business Continuity Plans in respect of security
- Provide an investigative response to incidents and received intelligence
- Support with internal investigations in order to prove or disprove information and establish facts
- Support the People team with running our routine onboarding checks for new hires
