Requirements
- 3+ years experience in a QA environment, working with integrated systems
- 1+ year(s) working in a senior or QA lead role
- Software testing certification e.g. ISTQB or equivalent
- Design of automated and manual test cases to validate cross system integrations
- Ability to report on test status and progress in a concise and timely manner
- Background working with complex multi-system integrations
- Strong understanding of both API based and service bus integration types and architecture
- Experience working with tools such as Postman and RestSharp for integration point validation
- Strong hands-on experience of automation frameworks testing integration points and E2E integration outcomes (both at the endpoint and back end)
- Identification and implementation of process improvements
- Experience coaching peers and more junior team members
- Strong background leading and driving SIT within an agile environment, supporting in-sprint testing
- Collaboration with internal and 3rd party stakeholders and team members the design and execution of systems integration testing
- Support the definition and analysis of environment requirements for multiple systems within an integrated context
- Passion and drive for test automation, continuous integration at the performance test level and associated toolsets
- Located within a commutable distance to Birchwood, Warrington
Good to have
- BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
- Experience working within mult-disciplined engineering and quality teams comprising of members that are geographically diverse
- Knowledge of back end verification techniques to apply in performing SIT (SQL, Oracle Data validation)
- Experience with participation in agile planning, sprinting and reviews
- Experience working with Kanban/scrum agile methodologies
- Experience in the design and execution of integration tests for cloud native, service based architecture solutions
- Background working with virtual machines and associated configuration
Our ideal candidate
- Your key skill will be the implantation, design and execution of Systems Integration tests across a broad range of both internal and external integrated systems, encompassing multiple integration methods
- An ambitious team player who strives for technical excellence and drives continuous improvement throughout the team
- You have a technical background and are able to understand at a detailed level the design and implementation of SIT using a range of technical toolsets (For example, experience with Postman and RestSharp for API endpoint verification, experience with front end frameworks for UI automation)
- You have the ability to both verify system integration requirements via manual interrogation and inspection and via the implementation of appropriate automated test tools and suites
- You have the ability to interrogate system back end and, where necessary, front end in validating integration test case outcomes
