About the role

We are currently looking for a Business Operations Manager to join the Profitability team reporting to Taj! Your goal will be to generate strategies to increase profitability using analytical, commercial, and operational insights to: balancing strong gross margin, competitive client pricing amp; fair courier pay. You’ll leverage teamwork amp; cooperation to get stakeholders’ support and ultimately see the projects through to completion.

You will also support cross-team projects to deliver positive financial results for evolving operational models.


What you'll do!

Strategic, operational, and commercial

    • Understand the end to end delivery experience and the financials of each component for all operational models amp; client verticals that Stuart operates
    • Proactively drive cross-functional projects amp; initiatives beyond BAU improvements and build support for ideas
    • Work with the operations, programs and tech teams on wider business initiatives amp; trials from a profitability perspective, leveraging the resources, models and tools built within the Profit team
    • Lead the financial and efficiency modelling of new business verticals and partnerships

Analytical

    • Deep dive into large datasets amp; generate insights, findings and recommendations on improving efficiency and profitability
    • Create models to assess impact of initiatives
    • Define and measure target KPIs for success of projects, including Pamp;L impact, RoI

Requirements

  • 4+ years in consulting, operations, analytics, or finance (but other backgrounds welcome if you fit the requirements!)
  • Experience using complex datasets to drive decision making, enthusiastic about operational amp; commercial strategy with a good understanding of revenue and cost impacts
  • Ability to drive projects on your own initiative, deal with ambiguity and develop structure amp; relationships across teams to keep projects moving
  • Very comfortable with numerical modelling in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with SQL and data modelling, and ideally Tableau or other BI tools - you don’t need to be an expert coder, but you will need to know how to use these tools to deliver insights (Python a plus!)
