Do you love Twinkl resources? Would you also love to learn how to create them?

As a Content Writer for our PlanIt Maths Mastery team, you’ll be joining a team of passionate professionals working flexibly to write content for Twinkl’s thriving Maths Mastery product. This excellent team creates and updates a wide range of creative and innovative resources to support Maths teaching in primary schools. This includes planning and assessment materials, intervention packs, activity sheets, PowerPoints and display materials.

You’ll have a strong, current working knowledge of the English National Curriculum for Maths and would ideally be working as a teacher in an English primary school. You will use your knowledge and experience to develop resources and your content will be turned into a finished product for Twinkl by our highly skilled design team. This role is suitable for those working part-time in the classroom.

If you’re passionate about helping those who teach, we’d love to hear from you!

Your weekly activity could include:

  • Creating new resources to support teaching and learning of Maths, including working on fully planned lesson packs for our PlanIt Maths content.
  • Creating innovative materials to support a mastery style of teaching and learning.
  • Producing resources which respond to customer needs and educational developments.
  • Meeting with other members of the team to discuss and develop new ideas.

The role of Content Writer is flexible, varied and exciting. You will be working on different resources depending on the needs of our customers and this can change quickly. As part of the product development team, you will have close contact with other Writers, and our team of Editors, Designers and Illustrators will bring your creations to life before they then appear on the website.

  • Be organised and produce high quality work within deadlines.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships within the team.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to work as part of an Agile Scrum team.
  • How to use Jira, our Project Tracking Software.
