We are looking for a Treasury Assistant on a temporary contract to perform treasury back office processes and reporting. Also, to support paperless and robotic automation process developments.
Requirements
The responsibilities and authority stated below are subject at all times to company policy.
- Settlement of all treasury transactions (swaps, foreign exchange, bank loans, money market, Euro Commercial Paper - ECP, Euro Medium Term Notes - EMTNs)
- Liaison with banks confirming daily cash flows and confirmations
- Responsible for all trading activity documentation
- Reconciliation of trading activity to bank accounts and resolution of reconciling items
- Documentation processing and responsible for processing financial transactions, including intercompany loans and external capital market transactions and other documentation processes
- Running and managing compliance reports for the treasury operations
- Maintain and develop procedures, and associated documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulatory environments (such as Sarbanes-Oxley).
- Completion of filings with regulatory and other bodies for financial transactions (for example EMIR reporting)
- Administrative responsibilities including banking systems (Barclays, MUFG and Citi).
- Assist with the management of bank loan agreements
- Support Treasury Team members as required.
- Any other appropriate duties as required by line manager.
- Working as part of a small experienced treasury team.
Legal requirements
To maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and competence in the finance and insurance products appropriate to the role, in accordance with the requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a busy, high volume corporate treasury or bank back-office function
- Treasury Management System utilisation
- Numerical ability
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to tight monthly deadlines
- Exposure to high transaction volume
- Exposure to high value transaction
- Exposure to multi-currency transaction
- IT awareness ability to use the following desktop applications effectively as part of carrying out day to day activities:
- MS Excel (Financial functions (SUMIF, COUNT, etc.), Charting, Lookups, Filtering)
- MS Word (Mail merge, formatting, tables, etc.)
- Worked with a Treasury Management System
Desirable
- Maths ‘A’ Level or equivalent / Degree
- Knowledge of double entry book keeping
- Awareness of BACS
- Awareness of CHAPS
- Familiarity with SWIFT Communication
- Knowledge of ICMA Loan documentation
- Knowledge of ISDA Swap Documentation
- Knowledge of London Stock Exchange’s Regulatory News Service
- Direct experience of the Finance Motor Industry
Key Education/Qualifications relevant for job role
