We are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced supply chain professional to join a family-run SME based in Stokenchurch. As our client manufacturer and distribute to B2B customers, this role is also about creating awareness and engagement with B2C audiences.
Key duties and responsibilities.
- To Assist the UK supply chain from customer order to delivery for our range of post concrete
- A complete overview and day to day management of overseas shipments, expediting where necessary and liaising with freight forwarders
- Understanding and analysing our imported goods data, checking commodity codes and following up on queries.
- Experience of reporting and stock management through an ERP system is a distinct advantage, as is a solid grasp of creating reports and manipulating data using Excel.
- The set up and maintenance of new vendors/items in our ERP system.
- Managing stock levels and purchasing in line with demand.
- To undertake supplier review meetings, ensuring business objectives are met and deliveries are on track.
- To review and expedite stock delivery dates accordingly.
- To support and help prompt re-sourcing projects.
- Providing monthly reports against KPIs, identifying the successes and challenges, and recommending areas for improvement
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications..
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a previous supply chain role
- Ideally have worked with tools/fixings/ironmongery in the past
- Ability to build strong internal and external working relationships.
- A proven track record of the day-to-day management of supply chains
- Hands-on approach
