After triple-digit revenue growth for the last seven years in a row, TONG is on the hunt for outstanding candidates to join our Client Services Team as China Sales amp; Marketing Executives (full amp; part time roles available).

Day-to-day, you will be planning and executing entrepreneurial sales strategies to drive our student accommodation and property clients’ revenue in the Chinese market. You will work closely with our Client Services Team to chase and convert inbound leads on our clients’ campaigns, drive outbound sales activity and assist with marketing efforts across a variety of Chinese digital channels. You will also be embedded within our clients’ teams, coordinating the flow of sales and information between our organisation and theirs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving company; you will join a tight-knit and rapidly-expanding team with real and growing responsibility from day one. This role will be directly reporting to one of our Senior Activation Managers.

This will primarily be a remote role, but you will be required to attend our client sites in Manchester on a regular basis.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Inbound Sales amp; Customer Service for Our Clients

1. Act as the first point of contact for inbound sales leads or enquiries received through various channels. Support our ‘live chat’ function during UK office hours.

2. Respond to all inbound enquiries in a timely manner and proactively follow up with and progress leads, actively tracking progress via CRM systems or as required to track and attribute sales.

3. Develop solid understanding of the properties and booking processes, various client and stakeholder needs as well as competitive offerings on an ongoing basis.

4. Constantly monitor online conversations around the brand and properties on various platforms, proactively engage with them and convert interests into leads.

5. Organise or work with site managers to book in-person or remote viewings and act as a translator during viewings if necessary.

6. Collaborate with the booking teams to ensure that bookings are processed correctly and in a timely manner.

7. Organise and manage social groups and communities, working closely with the marketing team on various activities to engage and nurture prospects.

8. Organise and manage communities of current residents, working closely with the marketing team to organise on-site and live events

Outbound Sales for Our Clients

1. Work closely with the marketing team to generate new sales leads.

2. Actively approach various types of affiliates and partners, organise meetings and pursue deals with these entities to drive bookings.

3. Liaise with affiliates and partners to identify and leverage targeted private traffic to drive leads.

4. Constantly monitor online conversations around accommodation options and competitive offerings via related hashtags, questions, comments and topics on various platforms, proactively engage with these and initiate new topics or conversions to generate sales opportunities.

5. Identify existing consumer-initiated online groups and communities and actively engage them and generate leads.

6. Identify further outbound sales opportunities and actively engage them.

Marketing for Our Clients

1. Ensure that Chinese language web and e-commerce listings are up to date, with correct copy, imagery, pricing, policies and other details across owned and affiliate platforms, update them where necessary.

2. Ensure various brand/property assets are accurate and on brand across online presence, update them where necessary.

3. Actively identify trends and traits in the market, consumer and competition, and feedback to marketing and wider teams, flag issues and share consumer feedback.

4. Work with the marketing team to conduct primary research where possible and feedback to wider teams.

5. Based on consumer insights and marketing needs, create and update various types of online and offline assets.

6. Work with the marketing team to analyse attribution and performance of online and offline activities and produce insights and reports.

Mandarin native speaker with a good level of English language ability.
