Job Description

We are recruiting for a 5 month contract looking for a Student Admissions Advisor to join our small, friendly and collaborative Admissions team and support prospective pupils and their families with admission into Pearson’s UK curriculum online school porfolio: Pearson Online Academy UK Global and Harrow School Online .

Our extensive brand-awareness, PR and digital marketing campaign drives prospective parents and pupils from all over the world to our website, where they can request more information or call our Student Admissions telephone hotline. You will be the person that they interact with, from first contact through to enrolment. While customer service is a key part of this role, sales is critical: you should love the challenge of converting prospects into paying customers.

The role is focused on providing a high quality, professional service to all stakeholders, including enquirers, applicants, pupils, families and staff, and is informed by best practice in the sector.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Following up expression of interest forms via telephone and email (approx. 50/day)
  • To guide applicants through each step of our admissions process, including arranging entrance tests and interviews with our teachers.
  • To work collaboratively with other members of the School’s Admissions Department and academic staff.
  • To maintain knowledge and understanding of online schooling and the International British Curriculum (International A Levels).
  • To attend online Student Recruitment Open Days and Taster Lessons.
  • To complete any other duties as directed by the Head of Admissions.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience working in an Admissions Department of a British Curriculum Independent School or UK Higher Education
  • Someone who enjoys speaking on the phone to customers our Advisers can often make up to 50 phone calls a day
  • An engaging, collaborative, passionate and effective team player, who is keen to drive their own success and the success of the pupils
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Willingness to work flexibly on rare occasions to meet our prospective parents and pupils at a time that suits them as many will be in different timezones to the UK.

  • You will be methodical with good attention to detail and experienced in meeting deadlines and delivering high quality work.
