Zoomo are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and ambitious people person to join its rapidly growing Fleet Operations Team as a Logistics and Warehouse Manager. Reporting to the U.K. Fleet Operations Manager, this person will play a vital role in supplying parts and helping build, design, and optimise the systems and processes needed to sustain; the U.K.’s e-bike and e-trike assembly line, the deep refurbishment workshop and the in house store and mobile mechanics across the country.

The Fleet Department at Zoomo is fast becoming the most important and innovative part of our organisation. This is because both our B2B and B2C businesses are growing rapidly, as more and more delivery and logistics companies are choosing our e-bikes, e-trikes and e-motorcycles to support their own growth across the UK, Zoomo now need a dedicated Logistics and Warehouse Manager to ensure its ever growing number of inhouse mechanics get that required parts needed on time in order to complete new builds and scheduled / reactive maintenance for the Company’s customers.

This role requires an individual with both warehousing as well as 3PL experience.

The main responsibility of the Logistics and Warehouse Manager is to supply parts for new bike builds and ensure they are delivered to new customers on time and damage free, as well as ensuring that our nationwide in-house mechanics are supplied with the parts needed to maintain Zoomo’s customer e-fleet.

You will work with the UK Fleet and Operations Manager to design efficient inventory management processes as well as a robust 3PL and potential inhouse nationwide logistics network incorporating, Six Sigma, Lean, 5s and Kaizen methodologies to ensure parts arrive JIT, in the right quality at the lowest cost to the business. You will also work closely with the Procurement and Supply Chain team based in Australia to reduce part packaging and associated shipping costs.

  • Warehouse staff training and training design.
  • Inventory management, standards and processes that optimise capacity v’s pick and stow rate quality / speed.
  • Manage the SLA for 3PL contractors as well as the possible in house delivery team as Zoomo scale.
  • Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly and salaried workforce.
  • Working with the Samp;OP team to ensure the accurate scheduling and rostering of warehouse staff based on nationwide parts demand.
  • Manage team safety, quality, productivity, and customer (in house and on occasion external Mechanic) delivery promises.
  • Collaborate with all support teams including, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
  • Manage the SLA for facilities management contracts including waste disposal, cleaning and building maintenance and improvements.
  • Collaborate and optimise processes with the onsite Service and Maintenance Manager, to ensure that the in house collocated deep maintenance team and new build team do not run out of parts and have the required facilities to hit targets.
  • In collaboration with the Global Procurement and Supply Chain team look to optimise parts and new bike packaging to increase fill rates, warehouse capacity, new build speed and reduce on site and in transit damages etc.

Basic Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years industry experience in: logistics, manufacturing, automotive, electronics, transportation, machinery, production or distribution environments.
  • Have a basic understanding of road haulage transport legislation and operating licence requirements.
  • Have an understanding of Lean, Kazien, 5s and Six Sigma methodologies.
