About the Role

2020 2021 has been a period of exceptional growth for PBK, and we are looking to secure this momentum into 2022 and beyond with the addition of a Brand Marketing Team.

A new role within our marketing structure, the Brand Marketing Manager comes with a huge amount of influence in the projects we undertake an overview of the key responsibilities is below but we’re particularly keen to hire a candidate with big ideas, big personality and a natural flair for building relationships and brand stories within the cycling industry.

A diverse mix of digital, in-person and creative projects with both commercial goals and brand-related objectives, the key areas of responsibility for our new marketing colleague would be:


  • Re-shape our Affiliate and partner network; carving out a new strategy for PBK and building new partnership opportunities within the cycling industry that best appeal to our customer and continue to drive relevant revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee and shape our BrandPresentation having influence on site creative, photography amp; tone of voice, forming new brand guidelines for site-wide implementation that will resonate with our existing and target cyclist customer
  • Customer Profiling amp; Surveys own and further develop our Customer Identity profiles and champion their inclusion across the buying, trading and marketing teams. Implement a survey program that helps us further understand each customer profile, turning the insight into actionable marketing amp; UX projects.
  • Exploring PR Opportunities securing print amp; digital exposure for the PBK website, PBK products and relevant internal news, with key focus on building our reputation amp; links with the cycling community
  • Manage an Events Calendar looking at both national and established events, but also drafting amp; planning our own local cycling events using THG Experience sites and customer base in the North West.
  • Collaborate with the DigitalMarketing team on commercial opportunities that support growth initiatives and new customer acquisition projects.
  • Build-out and lead the Brand Marketing team, planning a recruitment strategy and role profiles for key hires.


We are ideally looking for a keen cyclist, with a proven background in at least two of the above areas.

However, we would be equally interested to hear from Brand, PR or Events applicants with a professional background in any cycling discipline.


Requirements

  • Proven experience working within the cycling/events industry.
  • A real people person - able to lead cross-functional internal meetings and build new, lasting relationships at all levels in the cycling industry.
  • A multi-tasker - comfortable switching between multiple projects on any given day.
  • Demonstrate clear passion about the cycling community / cycling as a sport - a genuine customer first champion/
  • Impeccable attention to detail and solid communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • eCommerce or Commercial experience would be desirable.
