Corin is seeking an NPI Project Manager is to resource plan, manage and execute development projects coherently and on time utilising the Project Core Team (PCT)
The key responsibilities for the NPI Project Manager are to;
- Liaise with customers to generate the right project scope, goals and deliverables in accordance with design control procedures.
- Create and deliver detailed project work plans for how to deliver each stage of the project and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage and co-ordinate project resource allocation.
- Identify project risks and problem solve to avoid or provide contingency plans
- Work closely with all relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Ensure product quality and Company standards are met.
- Co-ordinate design reviews to ensure product is designed and engineered to specification
- Manage Stage Gate process by coordinating internal stakeholders i.e. marketing, finance, product development, manufacturing and regulatory functions.
- Ensure delivery of final product on time and on budget, and according to customer/marketing requirements for performance and quality via coordination of the departmental functions.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) through project teams.
- Provide direction and support to project teams.
- Co-ordinate clients and suppliers on outsourced manufacturing processes, goods and services as required for the key projects.
- Report to Design Manager on project plans and timescales and make appropriate recommendations.
- Submit project status reports to all stakeholders; anticipates and reacts to change
- Carry out work in a safe, efficient and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Adhere to the quality management system (Q-Pulse) and Quality Standards (IS013285 QMS and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820)
Requirements
The ideal NPI Project Manager will have;
- Good understanding in biomechanics and clinical issues which may affect safety of performance of medical devices.
- BEng or BSc in a relevant subject such as Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Industrial/Product Design or equivalent experience.
- Certificated Project Manager or prove equivalent experience via successful project management track record.
- Extensive experience of leading design teams and coordinating cross functional work.
- Expert knowledge of the engineering associated with hip/knee orthopaedic or other medical devices.
- Project manager experience with a proven track record of delivering projects
