We are looking for an experienced and skilled Blockchain Engineer to join our Blockchain team. A curious mind and an eager learner, with a particular thirst for knowledge and innovation, and a passion for building solutions based on decentralized identity and ledger technology. You will be responsible for designing and developing disruptive solutions to add to our Platform, creating trackable digital identities for physical objects. You will be working very closely with our Core engineering team, and also our Concept engineering team which is where a lot of our research amp; development activities happen.
Our most successful engineers are able to work independently with little supervision. They have excellent organisation and problem-solving skills and hands on experience in software development and agile methodologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Keep up with rapidly evolving DLT trends, researching and developing new applications to continuously innovate our product offering
- Invest time working in the DID and NFT space
- Develop cryptocurrency-based payment solutions
- Be at the forefront of our customer’s success by delivering well-tested, robust and scalable solutions with an emphasis on performance and usability
- Foster a solid and efficient testing-driven culture with a focus on building resilient and production-grade products
- Work collaboratively with a cross-discipline team in a fast-paced agile environment
- Advocate best practices and standards by performing code reviews and providing great examples of clean and readable code
- Promote and driving technical discussions to strengthen our stack and grow team’s expertise
- Write great documentation and technical proposals to share with the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a full-time software engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or Statistics or another quantitative field
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable applications with microservice architecture
- Long history working with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
- Solid basis of algorithms and data structures for complex problem solving
- Strong knowledge of Golang and functional programming
- Wide understanding of distributed systems architecture and particularly focused on Ethereum smart-contract, DeFi and NFTs
- Comprehensive understanding of systems engineering and computational complexity when looking at large-scale systems
- Understanding of database engineering on both SQL and NoSQL
- Experience working remotely with distributed, global teams sitting in different timezones
- A keen thirst for knowledge and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Great communication skills with an emphasis in clearness and conciseness
And preferably:
- Experience working with Node.js, Python or Rust
- Familiar with full-stack engineering
- Experience with any SSI framework such as Hyperledger Indy or ION
- Working history writing smart-contracts with Solidity
- Experience with any of the following permissioned blockchain framework: Hyperledger Fabric, Quorum/Hyperledger Besu, Corda
- Open-source contributions
