Role Activities and Responsibilities

Zappi is looking for a Head of Business Development EMEA to manage our growing team of 5 Business Development Managers in the EMEA region. As a leader of this team you will identify, apply and execute strategies to win new customers in our key verticals, as well as identifying reseller partnerships of our technology. You will foster your team's outbound success rate, guide and map an impactful management of inbound leads. You will also collaborate closely with our project account management team to identify the most effective approaches to turn them from project-by-project to program-driven usage.

We offer a high degree of autonomy and are looking for like-minded individuals to help make the Zappi tools and platform a core part of our customer’s decision-making process.

This role is responsible for leading our Business Development team in EMEA in order to grow our dominance in defined key verticals within the competitive landscape. You will have a strong focus in coaching and assisting your team in creating scalable new business development strategies and ensure their successful execution. In order to achieve your goals, you will work in close cross functional collaboration with our customer success, marketing, product management and project sales teams.

This position will be reporting to the SVP of International Sales. To achieve your goals you will use proven acquisition strategies and a deep familiarity with the market research space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Development Team team by training, coaching and supporting them to achieve their quarterly sales targets, become high performers and advance their careers within the company. You are responsible for hiring, nurturing and retaining top talent.
  • Building, mapping out and executing against a business development plan which targets new buyers that would benefit from Zappi’s unique platform. This in conjunction with your counterparts in the other two territories (APAC and Americas).
  • Augment insight and gap selling sales methodology within your team to teach clients about their industry and offer a unique perspective on their business which link to Zappi’s value proposition
  • Creating and guardrailing a highly effective inbound lead management program that helps maximizing the commercial success and new account turnover for your team
  • Translating the needs of new customers into our Zappi offerings is your passion and you deliver on this task with outstanding excellence. This enables you to deliver the most appealing proposals and you expand this skill to your team.
  • Guardrailing the complex process of large strategic RFQ management at enterprise level or with global scope - both
