Chief of Staff and Operations Edinburgh/London

What does a Chief of Staff amp; Operations do?

Working closely with the CEO, organise and align strategic priorities with members of the senior leadership team, making sure the right people are talking about the right things at the right time. Shape our internal and external communications framework, so that our staff are informed and inspired and see how their day-to-day work connects to our mission. Provide exceptional support to the CEO and the wider SLT in strategic planning and operational execution of the Adarma mission and objectives.


This is a critical role providing leadership support in managing the operations of a fast-growing private equity backed business. This role requires working cross-functional collaboration with key leaders to ensure effective execution of business outcomes. You will have a background of working with a cross-functional group of senior stakeholders across a mix of commercial, financial, operational and strategic activities. Must have a proven track record of leading strategic initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Direct support of CEO Work with CEO to set strategic priorities and metrics for success. Provide support in ensuring line of sight from project to roadmaps to strategic tenets, including working with the CFO and finance staff to ensure tight interlock between strategic, operational and financial as we execute our plans.
  • Meeting and event preparation - Manage the organisation's operational cadence in the maintenance of business scorecards. Assist the CEO with pitch decks, analysis and presentational material for various stakeholders including the Board
  • Internal communication framework and cadence Manage internal communications with marketing (e.g., company newsletters, internal communications cycle, town halls) to drive effective and coordinated communication
  • Project management oversee cross-functional, organisational-wide projects or initiatives to drive decisions and outcome
  • Business analysis - Assist in ad hoc business analysis in support of Adarma’s strategic initiatives. Engage on business issues to assist in issues assessment, resolution and root cause analysis
  • Strategic planning and alignment - Work with stakeholders to develop a unified, cross-functional annual plan and critical priorities for success
  • Strategic projects lead strategic projects for CEO and SLT for areas that are of a cross-functional nature and that have a material impact on the Adarma business
  • Operational and financial KPI - Drive a repeatable process for reviewing and managing key strategic initiatives
  • Operational technology stack Own the operational technology stack for Adarma driving best in class operational adoption (e.g. across sales and marketing operations, delivery, financial, payroll)
  • Mamp;A and partnerships Help us execute on Mamp;A, investments and partnerships as we invest to scale. This includes acting as Integration Lead as acquisitions and investments are made and operationalised as part of the Adarma group.

Requirements


  • MBA is a strong plus, but not required
  • Process and systems background is a plus
  • Business planning and financial acumen required
  • Communicative and highly interpersonal
  • Strong presentation skills including Powerpoint and Excel
