QA Lead (Full-time)

Job Description
The world of cryptoart and NFTs is exploding! Come shape the future of this exciting new space as a Quality Assurance Lead at Verisart. We’re a blockchain startup offering digital certification for artwork and collectibles, including NFTs. We're looking for an ambitious QA Lead to support our customers and instill a defensive mindset in our product team. This role offers tremendous scope to influence the direction of our products on the web, Shopify and even new blockchains. You will be a full partner alongside engineers, designers and product managers.
There are 3 main areas of responsibility:
Quality Assurance
- Taking ownership of the quality of our portfolio of SaaS products on the web and Shopify
- Acting as a Customer Champion: Understanding our customers' and proactively looking for issues to pre-empt customer problems
- Instilling a defensive mindset in the product team
- Establishing new processes to promote quality, while balancing the need for efficient, continuous delivery
Manual and regression testing
- Ability to write concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Perform manual testing for cases where appropriate when automated testing is not possible
- Communicating with the product team to understand what manual testing is required
- Perform regular manual regression tests
Automated end-to-end testing
- You will help maintain automated tests in Cypress and Postman, which are written by the Engineering team
- If you're able to write new tests yourself, that's even better
Requirements
We're looking for a real champion of our customers' needs and someone who can become a product and domain expert. We want you to contribute a quality perspective to every discussion.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Engineer (or similar role)
- Experience with Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum
- Demonstrable experience with black box testing
- Strong communication skills and ability to create and maintain clear, thorough documentation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytically-minded with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
- Self-starter, and a track record of getting things done
- 3+ years experience in a QA testing environment
- Experience with automation testing tools, ideally Cypress.io, Postman
