Job Description

The Security team has responsibility for safeguarding THG and its employees across all sites within the business. The team also manages risk, resilience and business continuity group-wide and secures the business against a plethora of potential situations and risks. As a member of the Security team you will work with the Group Head of Security to develop and implement security initiatives across Physical Security, Intelligence, Travel Risk Management and Loss Prevention. A key part of this role is the leadership of THGs Global Security Operations Centre, previous experience in a similar function will be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for proactively developing, implementing and continuously reviewing THG Security policies to ensure it reflects the THG Operation and current security protocols.
  • Responsible for carrying out security audits, risk and vulnerability assessments across your area of the operation.
  • Develop a culture of Security across the Group and conduct routine briefings and security awareness campaigns as required.
  • Direct the GSOC as THGs hub for the monitoring, analysis and interpretation of threats and hazards that may affect the business globally.
  • Provide timely and accurate information on emerging threats, risks, safety and security incidents to the Group Head of Security, so informed decisions can be made to protect company personnel, assets and business operations.
  • Utilise various third party risk intelligence services and platforms to collect, analyse and identify risks to THG around the globe.
  • Identify and explore new system technology to ensure that GSOC systems are optimised and are operating efficiently.
  • Develop training and SOPs for personnel assigned to the GSOC to facilitate effective performance.
  • Develop procedures and protocols, enabling timely and effective responses to and management of incidents, alarms, notifications, calls and other activities related to the GSOC and its role as THGs central alarm receiving centre.
  • Investigate all security breaches and conduct route cause analysis and lessons learnt to reduce the vulnerability further.
  • Manage THG traveller safety and security programme to evaluate high risk destinations, monitoring travel for risks and supporting travel emergencies.
  • Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders and promote a culture of security across the group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a security related field
  • Experience in managing and conducting international security operations including physical security, investigations and travel risk management.
  • Experience in global risk intelligence gathering and business travel security risk analysis.
