What will I be doing?
As a day Shift Staff Technology Warehouse Engineer (BED Back End Days) you will be responsible for maintaining the IT estate, delivering a world-class experience for our fulfillment and manufacturing centers worldwide. This role will be a part of an expanding tech team which offers 24/7 support alongside our warehouses operating hours. You will be the face of IT which will require you to have excellent customer service skills. Supporting our employees is a primary focus as we must ensure that every employee is able to perform their roles in the most efficient way possible. BED shifts will cover from Wednesday to Saturday, 7:30am to 6:00pm.
- Provide strong customer service for both internal and external stakeholders
- Housekeeping for Android MDM solutions (Elo and Mobicontrol)
- Enrolment and management of Windows and Mac OS devices on Microsoft Intune
- Developing corporate standards for desktop computer software and hardware
- Conduct reviews to ensure compliance to standards
- Successful deployment and upgrades of hardware around the warehouses
- Maintain a strong estate of printing devices (Thermal and laser)
- Computer management and system administration duties
- Support the upkeep of pack stations to ensure smooth operations
- Proactive management of open incidents, working with technical support teams to gain the fastest resolution based on incident SLA
- Support of the following Technology: Microsoft Office products, Windows 10, Mac OS, desktops, laptops, multi-function printers, basic LAN/WAN connectivity
- Device management and control for handheld devices
- Ensure all calls that cannot be resolved by the Staff Technology 1st Line engineers are allocated to the relevant support team in a timely manner and resolved
- Update and write Knowledge Base entries when new solutions are established
- Raise awareness of regular repeat incidents
- Raise Problem Records for investigation
- Work alongside Senior Management to implement new technologies
- Virus Protection and Updates
- Security Patching for all end user devices
- Keep all documentation and diagrams up to date and accurate
- Perform all daily checks consistently and resolve issues
