Associate Software Engineer - Checkout.com
ProcessOut is a company recently acquired by Checkout.com . We run a payment API that large online merchants rely on to improve their processing performance. Our goal within the next year is to bring this technology to the full Checkout.com client portfolio, while improving our existing platform and ensuring its stability. This is a very exciting opportunity to join an extremely talented group of software engineers.
Learning from the best, you will be able to design and create or maintain micro-services within our infrastructure. Our product handles millions of transactions within a week. The API has its key part on it but the load is also on a multitude of other services
You will work closely with our technical teams to learn about the possible technical bottle-necks. We have implemented different technologies such as Go (go-kit toolkit, gRPC), Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL and many others. Your role would be to lead us to new technologies that our product can benefit from.
About you

• Methodical and pays high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of Go
• Strong knowledge and application of software design patterns.
• Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL.
• Cloud-based application development experience (we use AWS)

What you will be doing

• Payment gateway integrations: Interacting with external APIs through an in-house framework
• Handling webhooks notifications and parsing bank reconciliation summary filesCommunication with third party payment gateways
• Design and implement new workflows on our service
