Bloom amp; Wild is re-inventing the $60B global flower industry. Over a billion flower exchanges take place every year and industry satisfaction levels are low. We are using technology and data science to build the world’s leading and most loved flower company. We’ve seen impressive traction to date - we are the world’s leading and most loved flower and gifting platform, growing at 100% year on year and are in a strong position financially (and have been extremely fortunate to see growth remain strong during the Covid-19 crisis).
2021 has already been an exciting year for us, in January we announced our 75 million Series D funding round round, led by General Catalyst (backers of Airbnb and Deliveroo), with participation from multiple other top tier investors including Index Ventures (who have also backed companies such as Transferwise and Glossier). More recently in April we announced the acquisition of the Dutch online flower business bloomon, together creating Europe's leading online flower delivery company, active across 8 countries.
The role and ways of working
We’re looking for a freelance product designer to join our team as an Individual Contributor, leading the delivery in one of our product squads.
Working directly with the PM and tech team, you will be a part of shaping ways to help our customers to curate, customise, and confidently purchase thoughtful gifts.
You'll have experience taking a lean approach to product development and will be comfortable taking a hypothesis driven, test amp; learn approach to understand customer behaviour and deliver measurable results.
You're a team player and will actively help the team to identify opportunities to work together, and are comfortable facilitating collaborative group activities with colleagues and stakeholders around the business.
This is a 1-month project, to start immediately.
You
- Experience working in a customer facing growth brand (ideally ecommerce).
- A portfolio that demonstrates a keen attention to detail, combining clearly defined content, information architecture and creative vision to create compelling user experiences.
- Experience working with product amp; tech teams in a fast moving environment.
- Customer empathy you seek to understand their needs, motivations and priorities.
- Proficient in Figma can comfortably follow conventions set by brand guidelines and figma libraries, and are able to create flexible components to be added to our design library and system.
- Comfortable working with PMs and UX Researchers to establish the right method to validate with users throughout the design process.
- A collaborative approach to finding, developing and executing the best idea.
Our Recruitment Process
Given the current situation in the UK due to COVID-19, the interview process will be conducted remotely. This will involve an initial chat with someone from our People team, followed by interviews with our Product Team.
