Who we’re looking for

MediaMonks LDN are growing and redefining the role that agencies play in driving their client’s business forward. And as part of this transformation, we’re looking for a Global Strategy Director to help us shape the future of what iconic and modern creative work looks, sounds and tastes like.

We’re on the look out for a rare breed of strategist. One who is equally well versed in brand strategy as they are in campaign planning. Someone who is as emphatic as they are intelligent. And most importantly, someone who has the ability and desire to make the complex, simple. You’ll get your kicks from inspiring, building and selling brave ideas that matter to your clients business, their brand and in broader culture. You’ll be a lateral thinker, who can take our clients and creatives to unexpected places, a storyteller who gets our goosebumps bumping and a driving force in making our work sing.

You will be based in London, but working across our eclectic network, with some of the most innovative minds in the industry at your disposal, driving growth and reputation through world class, award winning creative work. You’ll be reporting into the Global Executive Strategy Director, also based in London.

Your responsibilities:

Be the first creative eyes on the brief: Strategy is a creative endeavour. You’ll go beyond simply defining problems by creating the space for brilliant work to flourish. You’ll be able to make inspiring and interesting lateral leaps that create meaningful creative opportunity. And you’ll be the first to put brave thinking on the table.

Be the voice of culture: Working with all forms of qual/quant research and by bringing your own unique perspective to the role, you’ll help us get deep with insights. You’ll scratch below the surface and bring the world of culture - from sneaker heads to mums on mumsnet - to the agency and into the strategic and creative process. Ultimately keeping us, our clients and our work relevant, meaningful and interesting.

Be business savvy: You’ll get to know the category and your client’s business in depth. You’ll find the opportunities for businesses and brands to grow by building disruptive strategies that can redefine people’s relationships with brands and products. You’ll be comfortable with data and know how to turn it into actionable insight that can drive change and inspire award winning creative work of all shapes and sizes. You’ll get a kick out of finding what makes people tick.

Be the champion of effectiveness: You’ll define what good looks like early on in the process, help clients map out new opportunities for growth and put clear business, brand and cultural objectives at the heart of the projects you work on. You’ll make sure that KPIs are set and put the right trackers and measurement tools in place to ensure we can prove the value of the brilliant work you make.

Be the ultimate collaborator: You’ll partner with some of the most innovative creatives from a diverse set of skills: from designers and app builders to traditional creative teams and platform experts - to ensure that we’re building end to end brand experiences that people actually want in their lives.

The role

  • You’ll own the strategic process, working with creatives to develop award winning and category defining work. You’ll see projects from inception all the way to final delivery.

  • You’ll be adept in creating compelling arguments and inspiring stories - not just decks. While also being able to de-risk the investment in brave ideas.
  • You'll collaborate with extraordinary creatives, copywriters, designers, innovators, tech creators, data specialists, developers as well as with PMs, operations managers and a lot more talented people across the exponentially expanding MediaMonks network.
  • You’ll create not just what the client asked for but what their business and brand needs, guiding and fostering their ambition in close and respectful collaboration.
