As the Product Owner your primary purpose is to define and lead the creation of a new multi-market customer experience for a key Hugo amp; Cat client.
Our Product Owners work side-by-side with client teams to serve as the bridge between customer first thinking and design, technology delivery and the business. This role is a mixture of customer obsession, technology evangelism, and best practice, balanced with the art of possible from a delivery perspective.
Requirements
The role will primarily work in scrum-based teams defining and executing digital product roadmaps as part of a cross discipline Agile design and delivery unit.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the appointed client-side Product Owner by proxying the role within Hugo amp; Cat
- Getting under the skin of the customer need, product purpose and business challenge
- Being a central point of contact for client stakeholders for product(s) in your ownership
- Continuously monitoring customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity
- Facilitating workshops to elicit, review, prioritise and document business requirements
- Managing feature prioritisation, ensuring stakeholders understand constraints
- Creating or contributing to the creation of business process models and workflows
- Maintaining the end-to-end customer experience of the product
- Crafting delivery backlogs including the creation of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Own, maintain, refine and prioritise the team backlog with the input from the team
- Managing customer experience and creative design teams to bring the product to life
- Managing technology teams to engineer the go-live product
- Facilitating effective joint-working with client-side technology teams delivering their part of the solution
- Managing the impact of business change that the product(s) in your ownership creates
- Analysing and presenting opportunities for future development and product iteration
To succeed in this role you must have:
This is a key role and you will be expected to hit the ground running on live client projects:
- Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Customer Experience Lead, or similar
- Extensive experience of working within a product delivery environment
- Proven knowledge of working in a software development environment
- Knowledge of Sitecore CMS and Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) is an advantage
- Direct experience of delivering digital products to customers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interact in a clear, sensitive but persuasive manner - high level influencing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively but with the confidence to make clear and reasoned decisions
- A sound grasp of project / programme management techniques
- Strong technical background and demonstrable business analysis skill set
- Experience working within a customer experience design team on a daily basis
- Experience working within a development team on a daily basis
