Job Description

*Nursery Practitioner

*Level 2/3 or Unqualified

*Ful-time - 40 hours per week

Our staff are constantly developing themselves through the unique Kindred training academy and we hold ‘Top 20 Nursery Group 2018’ award with recently winning National Nursery Manager of the Year.


We are looking for a competent early years practitioner Full-time (40 hours per week) for our Kindred Nursery in Odstock to join the family and to be part of the magic.

Responsibilities:

  • To maintain children’s profiles, registers and other paperwork
  • Work closely with parents/carers as partners to build good relationships and offering support when necessary
  • To work as part of a team providing a safe, stimulating and educational environment for the children to learn, play and develop
  • To set the room up in accordance with planning and adjust as necessary e.g. a change of activity due to no interest
  • To complete observations on allocated key children
  • Be a key worker taking overall responsibility for your children’s care, welfare and learning
  • Use observations to complete termly achievement reports to share with parents/carers
  • Maintain to a high standard individual children’s learning journeys at all times.
  • Ensure close supervision of children at all times, children should always be in ear or eye shot of an adult
  • Assist in planning, developing and setting up inspiring, enabling environment both indoors and outdoors

What you need

  • A relevant childcare qualification at Level 2 or 3 (we are also looking for unqualified practitioner)
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • A true passion for Early Years and Childcare
