Requirements
We are looking to speak with Senior Consultant Developers who enjoy the variety, fast pace and the opportunity to work with new technologies that a consultancy can offer.
We are always interested in speaking with talented people with experience developing bespoke trading or pricing platforms be that for immediate or upcoming work.
As a Senior Consultant Developer, you will be expected to help drive the technical direction of a project, provide knowledge transfer as well as contributing to continuous improvement in the software delivery team. In addition to technical expertise, you have excellent communication skills, a consultative manner and a positive, proactive attitude.
You demonstrate genuine passion for technology and the software industry as a whole. You are interested in using technology to create business solutions and aren’t afraid to use your experience to challenge our thinking and provide alternative views.
Personal skills required:
- Be a proactive and collaborative team player.
- Work directly with our clients to elicit requirements, gain feedback and execute on technical delivery.
- Excellent communication skills; we encourage our consultants to interact directly with clients and help foster a positive working culture.
Specific technical competencies are:
- Core technology experience of Java, .NET and/or Python. Experience developing/architecting greenfield systems is highly valuable.
- Previous experience designing and developing real-time systems with modern web frameworks; Angular and React with TypeScript is desirable.
- In-depth Agile methodology experience, including knowledge of TDD and BDD.
- GIT for Source control.
- DevOps/CloudOps; hands-on experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with Azure/AWS is desirable however not essential.
- Experience in microservices, event sourcing, cloud-based solutions or other modern architectural patterns.
- Domain knowledge in one of more of: eFX, Energy Trading, Market Data, Investment Banking or FinTech.
The selection process:
Our selection process comprises screening calls with people team and peer level colleague, followed by on-line live coding assessment and a final stage meeting with out CTO.
