Job Description
DWP are seeking a Digital User Researcher Senior to join their team. This role is remote working until restrictions ease, and candidates should therefore be commutable to Sheffield.
Initial contracts will run for 6 months and offer a rate up to 600/day.
IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. This engagement has been assessed by the public body as Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

Core Purpose
To support the revision and development of the Accessibility Management Team Intranet site.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently to plan and carry out research from preparation through to sharing of research outcomes.
- You will make use of the most appropriate research methods and tools to turn research insights into recommendations that align with the team’s goals and/or delivery outcomes.
- Communicating with the users
- Presenting the research findings to help gain consensus and take action based on research findings
Minimum Requirements
- Has experience of and can apply basic user research methods
- Can align user research activities to inform decision making and action
- Able to design services and make decisions to meet user’s needs
- Able to use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user focus into outcomes
- Understanding of and experience using the GDS service manual
- Experience of working on accessibility products and services would be desirable
Candidate Eligibility
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 General visas are cannot be accepted. This role requires that candidates be willing to undergo BPSS (DS) Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland).
