Your Role:

In your role as VP of Commercial Strategy and Operations you will be responsible for building a set of unified strategies and foundational approaches that will enable and foster the long-term growth of the both the BresMed commercial teams and the broader organization. This role will oversee incoming opportunities, sales targeting, sales enablement efforts, and business development activities to reduce the selling burden on technical team members and optimize overall sales performance. You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, manage a business development team, and liaise heavily with the Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams, as well as with affiliated Enterprise companies on joint projects.

Primary responsibilities

  • Lead and opportunity management build a strategic vision for opportunity measurement, triage, conversion, and quantification of impact.
    • Manage and refine regular pipeline monitoring and forecasting processes and define and deliver the required reports to monitor and understand commercial performance.
    • Redefine, optimize, and manage sales processes e.g., opportunity triaging, bid decisions, proposal and bid prep, bid-to-win meetings, etc. working with practice area and operational leadership to own the overall process strategy and process map.
    • Define and manage processes for collection and internal dissemination of customer feedback.
  • Sales enablement strategy create an overall approach and framework for sales enablement with objectives, responsibilities, tools, and best practice guidelines that are specific to the unique needs of the organization.
  • Sales strategy, targeting and planning develop and manage a framework to focus and incentivize optimal sales and top line financial performance.
    • Own and manage the BresMed account management process monitoring performance against targets, maintaining key account lists and assignments, running quarterly account health checks, and serving as the liaison to enterprise-wide account planning efforts.
    • Determine, monitor, and refine targets and incentive structure for business development team.
    • Work with practice area leadership to establish, refine and monitor sales targets for project teams.
  • Team management manage and grow a team of highly successful and self-motivated business development associates.
    • Design and implement a BresMed-specific business development career path and performance management framework.
    • Ensure achievement of all personal and team-based performance objectives, and alignment with both BresMed and Enterprise strategic imperatives.

For this senior role, you will need personal energy, confidence, and trust in your skills, you need to be a cool thinker with honed leadership skills, and above all you need to be an excellent communicator and a team player, with tenacity and a passion for delivering high-quality services and solutions.

Essential Skills amp; Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience with relevant expertise and successful track record in leading sales, marketing, sales enablement, or other commercial teams in professional services for the biopharmaceutical industry.
