OUT OF HOURS RECEPTIONIST/DRIVER - 8.91 PER HOUR PLUS SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS - SWINDON

Do you enjoy working in a public-facing capacity? Would you like to work in a varied role where no two shifts are the same? We have a part-time opportunity for an Out of Hours Receptionist/Driver based in Swindon who will interact with patients, carers and staff in order to assist Medvivo in the delivery of safe and effective care.

We provide integrated health and care services ranging from GP out of hours services, a single point of access, crisis response services and a wide range of technology enabled care solutions. We retained an outstanding CQC accreditation in Feb 2019 as an Integrated Urgent Care service.

About the role:

Joining the Integrated Urgent Care service based in Bath amp; North East Somerset amp; Wiltshire, you’ll play a key role in the team providing a professional, responsive central point of contact for both patients and clinicians. You will be involved in assisting with the handling of calls, carrying out general administrative and reception duties, performing daily checks of drugs, stock and equipment for the service vehicles and driving clinicians to visit patients at home.

The available shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with a minimum of 18-19 hours per week worked on a fixed 4 week shift pattern.

About you:

Full training is provided, so previous knowledge of working in a health and social care environment isn’t essential, but you should have experience of dealing with the public both face to face and over the phone.

Skills and experience:

  • Be able to empathise with and reassure patients, relatives and carers.
  • The ability to work under pressure and act professionally in emergency or stressful situations.
  • You will need a full UK Driving Licence and you should have a good level of driving experience.

Should you be successful you will need to have an enhanced DBS and attend a drivers medical and the company will organise and pay for both,

Hourly rate : 8.91 up to 11.14
