Job Description

We're currently recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor to join us at King Street Townhouse, a baby grand hotel that has 40 bedrooms and suites. Fully paid training is offered, making this the perfect opportunity for someone looking to work directly for an established company, as well as furthering their career in the hotel industry. The hotel also includes King Street Tavern (bar, restaurant and wine cellars), afternoon tea rooms, conferencing /event space, gym and treatment rooms, which are available to hotel guests. King Street Townhouse boasts some amazing features, such as its rooftop infinity spa pool, with views of the spires and clock tower of Manchester’s iconic town hall.

The Restaurant Supervisor will play a key role in managing all aspects of the operation ensuring that we meet and consistently exceed our guests expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee/support the Restaurant Manager in staff training amp; development
  • Ensure that the team are set-up for service with clear understanding of duties and responsibilities
  • Focus on delivering unique guest experiences
  • Oversee front and back of house restaurant operations
  • Knowledge of market trends across food and beverage
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards and champion the delivery of those
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Comply with local licensing laws
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position within food and beverage
  • Proven experience training, supporting and developing teams
  • Proven experience working with budgets
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage with your team
  • Knowledge of cocktail/wine
