Job Description
One of our clients is transforming their platform and we have an exciting opportunity for Backend Engineers from a mid to senior level to join us. You will have a passion for software development and an excellent understanding of how to define and deliver solutions iteratively and collaboratively. You will be involved in all areas of delivery, with the technical gravitas to mentor and inspire the development team; playing an integral part in helping them continuously improve by sharing your own knowledge, experience and insights. Cloud experience is essential.
You will be confident in challenging business requirements to ensure you are continuously delivering the best possible outcome, harnessing innovation and driving adoption of new technologies to deliver business value. Your vision and ambition will contribute to shaping our online technology roadmap, influencing our future technical direction and balancing passion with precision to deliver exceptional online service and solutions for our customers.
We are looking for experienced engineers with an appetite for solving complex problems and build seamless user interactions to world-class standards.
This is a remote opportunity with national and international expected travelling according to project/client needs: 0-20% estimated.
Requirements
- Languages: Java 7
- Build tools: Maven
- Architectural styles: JavaEE Monolith, Web services, SOA, REST API, Micro services
- Data Representations: XML, XSD, DTD
- Code versioning tools: GIT (including Gitlab or similar), SVN
- Third Party Libraries: Spring IoC, Unit, DBUnit, Mockito,
- Java IDE: IntelliJ (or) Eclipse
- Web framework: Experience in any of the classic web frameworks like JSP, JSF or Struts
- Application Lifecycle Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, NexusPro (or) similar.
- Working practices: Knowledge and experience of agile frameworks and practices: Scrum/Kanban, user stories, BDD/TDD, DevOps, Continuous Integration amp; Delivery, Pair Programming etc.
