Hello, we’re Unleashed. We help create thriving businesses and great places to work. We partner with early-stage and scaling businesses to gear them up for speedy and sustainable success through People + Culture.

In collaboration with the awesome early-stage businesses we partner with, at Unleashed we believe that we can do so much better than traditional HR (shudder) and Training (groan) and blow best practice out the water! At the moment, we’re a small but perfectly formed team of 10.

As a People + Culture Partner, you’ll be joining us in helping founders, leadership teams and in house People people in high-potential startups and scale-ups. We do this by helping develop and execute amazing People roadmaps and operations, as well as codifying and evolving their unique cultures. On any given day, you could be coaching founders, facilitating leadership development training, helping craft an A* onboarding process, introducing a new pay philosophy, defining values or a whole host of other things to be honest! If it relates to People + Culture, then you will be doing it :)

We’re seeking a truly exceptional and progressive People + Culture Partner - we are far from HR, we are People people who are experts at scaling.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with our clients to understand their businesses goals and devising a People roadmap to support them
  • Helping our clients define their culture, people experience and value proposition so their clout in the talent market is disproportionate to their size
  • Creating human, scalable and sustainable people infrastructure and practices which enable high performing teams and help businesses grow sustainably
  • Coaching founders and their management teams to ensure that they are comfortable and confident with their leadership and management style
  • Working collaboratively and creatively with the Unleashed team to tap into our collective wisdom and share your own
  • Informing, iterating and challenging Unleashed’s strategy for world domination and helping us further define how we work with businesses

Requirements

  • Experience of working within and scaling fast-growth businesses in a senior People role (we’re talking head of, vp, director level). This requirement is absolutely essential for us because the founders we work with want to draw directly on that experience of scaling a team through People + Culture. No if’s, no but’s - sorry!
  • You’ve built and managed a great team of people yourself so that you can lean on your practical experience when coaching managers and leaders
  • You consider coaching and mentoring as key parts of your People toolkit (even if you’re not a qualified coach); having worked directly with founders, leadership teams and across whole businesses, you feel comfortable talking to a diverse range of stakeholders with different interests, perspectives and personalities.
  • You enjoy facilitating practical and experiential workshops that lead to meaningful development and behaviour change
  • Zoomability - you are comfortable zooming out to take account of the whole picture, and zooming in to do the doing
  • You’re capable of context-switching and are excited by variety - each week, you’ll be working with different clients, at different stages of growth and with different cultures
  • You’re endlessly curious and embrace the philosophy of strong opinions weakly held; you’re never possessive over ideas and don’t believe there is one right way to do things
  • You’re interested in wholly rejecting best practice and taking a fresh and truly progressive approach in everything you do by using design thinking principles and getting creative
  • You’re self-aware and reflective - you’ve experimented a lot in your career so far and have a good sense of what worked and what didn’t.
  • Not only that, you accept that nothing you deliver will ever be an end product - there is always something more to learn - and your appetite for doing that learning is voracious.
  • You have bags of EQ, and arguably more AQ (adaptability quotient).
