Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic, talented Sales Operations Manager motivated by driving the effectiveness, efficiency, and pace of sales activity for a fast-growing technology consulting firm? Then this might be the opportunity you’ve been seeking.

Credera is a well-established technology and management consulting firm with exciting growth plans. At the heart of this growth is the ability to sell more of the right types of work, faster and at a lower cost of sale. The Sales Operations team plays a pivotal role, providing continuous support to the client-facing sales teams with the data, tooling, processes, training and sales specialists to improve sales performance.

As a team operating across all vertical industry sectors and horizontal competency offerings, Sales Operations has the potential to stimulate the sales performance of the firm to achieve new heights. Credera now needs someone to take the solid foundations of the existing Sales Operations team and build on them to drive sales to the next level.

Here’s what you will do

You will manage the Sales Operations team day-to-day in support of the sales ambition of Credera in the UK. This will entail running the team so that it delivers on the sales activities in the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles of business, as well as the ad hoc needs of the internal customers and stakeholders. To help drive business growth, you will ensure continuous improvement across the services offered to internal customers and in the running of the Sales Operations team itself.

Stakeholders of Sales Operations include the UK Management Board, Sales Leadership Team, customer-facing sales teams, other business operations teams (e.g. the Finance and Recruitment teams) and the leads for the technology and practice groups defining the propositions to take to prospective and existing clients.

Achieving the goals of the Sales Operations team will entail coordinating across multiple sales and business operations teams within the firm, as well as getting hands-on in activities such as sales modelling.

In addition to serving the Credera internal customer, you will need to manage the team leads within Sales Operations to support them working effectively and efficiently in their activities of bid management, analysis amp; reporting and sales capability development. Given the high demand on Sales Operations time, an important aspect will be ensuring a robust demand management process is in place.

The operations nature of this work and exposure to the UK / global business cycles means that a considerable degree of flexibility is needed in the role - identifying opportunities for improvement, prioritising and re-prioritising so that resource is spent in the area that will have biggest long-term positive impact for the firm.

Hours

This is a full-time, permanent role as part of a distributed team, with internal customers and most colleagues located in Leeds, Manchester and (mainly) London.

We consider flexible ways of working that allow the best outcomes for our team and our stakeholders. Our culture is to build strong working relationships and to work closely to support each other. As such, you should expect some travel to Credera offices based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Sales force enablement
    • Effect ongoing development, adoption and refinement of high-performance sales processes fitting to the Credera business standardising where beneficial to do so and supporting localised variation where appropriate.
    • Stimulate and coordinate exploration of tools to improve the sales performance of Credera. Manage implementation of proposals demonstrating a strong case.
    • Ensure integration of sales apps and tools across the Credera estate. This includes the billing system, contact management tool, marketing platform, business intelligence suite and sales library.
    • Manage the sales library knowledge base to be an up to date, high-value resource for sales activity across the UK company.
    • Work with stakeholders to maintain a sales training plan, the execution of which is to be coordinated by the People team.
  • Sales planning
    • Own the Sales model, ensuring that data from sales teams is represented faithfully. Provide insight and challenge that makes for a more realistic, and desirable plan of sales activity.
    • Align the Sales model with the recruitment and finance models.
    • Contribute actively to refining the sales planning activities.
  • Analytics amp; reporting
    • Support sales forecasting, improving accuracy and confidence in the modelling used.
    • Partner with internal teams for industry verticals, client-facing capability horizontals and internal operations teams to share data and analysis that uncover insights that will increase sales
