Job Description
Learning and Development Manager required to join our People Team who form part of our wider Employee Experience team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the People Director, promote a development culture with responsibility for the Learning and Development pillar of the People Strategy across the organisation
- To coach and mentor, the Lamp;D Coordinator (50% role) to assist you in the delivery of the Lamp;D strategy
- Design and deliver engaging training both locally and in conjunction with the wider Wunderman Thompson Global offering, adapting it to meet local needs as necessary
- Roll out of a true Management Training and Leadership Development programme, assessing the current provision and making recommendations for improvement
- Work with Business Directors and Line Managers to understand capability and skills gaps and facilitate programmes, training and workshops to address this
- Own the relationship with Learning partners and suppliers and take responsibility for the Lamp;D budget on both a quarterly and monthly basis
- Understand the organisations onshore and offshore resourcing model, and work to ensure consistency in onboarding and skills capability of our employees
- Work with line managers and People Business partners to build on our career path mapping and develop clear learning paths for our roles
- With the Lamp;D Coordinator, oversee the organisations new graduate programme and seek to continue to evolve this
- Lead or support People Director to deliver on People team or wider EMEA projects as necessary
You
You are passionate about Learning and Development and can hit the ground running. You are comfortable designing and delivering training but can also think big in terms of strategy. You work well in a fast-paced environment, where everything is not always 100% clear, but it provides the opportunity for you to shape your own role. You can challenge and influence senior stakeholders, have fantastic interpersonal skills, are confident and enjoy being part of a team.
We need you to be really great at:
- Strong experience as a Learning and Development specialist, ideally within a similar industry
- Qualifications in Learning and Development (CIPD or similar) and a passion for continuous professional development
- You are comfortable working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment, working at both an operational and strategic level.
- You have excellent communication and exceptional training development, delivery and facilitation skills to deliver with impact
- You have broad knowledge of different learning styles, platforms and practices, and understand the requirements of delivering virtually
- You are fantastic at stakeholder relationship building and have strong influencing capability to work to understand their problems and prioritise their needs
- You are willing to take ownership of full processes and embrace new ways of working
- You are a strong negotiator, when dealing with external suppliers to ensure we get the best value possible to make the most of our Learning budget
- Good time and project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a challenging and busy workload
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed
