Mastek are looking for a Security Cleared Test Lead with experience working on Agile projects. As an Agile Test Lead, working with one of our secure government clients, your main role is to work across the delivery scrum teams team to ensure overall quality of deliverables to our client is of the highest quality within the give timelines.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate strong Agile experience and will have a good technical understanding of Test Automation (with BDD) and CI/CD practices. You should be able to clearly articulate the test approach and take ownership of test activities across different test phases for a given release. Though the role does not require hand-on day-to-day test automation development, a good understanding of the same is essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Working alongside the ‘Developers in Test’ in the agile teams to ensure there is sufficient test coverage not just from a functional perspective but also around non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, security, usability and accessibility.
- Work with SMEs, Business Analysts, third party COTS providers and other stakeholders to elicit detailed test requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in ceremonies like Program Increment planning and Sprint planning and ensure the test activities are accurately estimated and resourced properly.
- Monitor the progress of test activities through different time boxes (Program Increments and sprints) and identify corrective measures as required to keep them on track.
- You will collate and manage the Incident Log, chairing the Defect Review Board for the testers as well as leading the management of defects.
- Creation of test artefacts including test approach, test plans, reports and release notes.
- Plan testing timelines, prioritization of work and plan execution schedules (around SIT and UAT which follow non-Agile delivery).
- Work closely with the Test Assurance function to facilitate timely sign-off of test activities to progress releases to the next test phases.
- Support and mentor the testers across the team whilst ensuring best practices are followed across all scrum teams.
- A strong understanding for DevOps style of working with automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Any experience with Identity and Access Management solutions is desirable (not essential)
- Own the testing backlog which covers the ‘in-sprint’ testing, SIT and UAT.
- Proactively identify test tool, test data and test environmental dependencies and manage them effectively.
Technical skills:
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Good knowledge of Java and Java based test automation frameworks
- Experience of automated testing of web based front ends with Selenium and Cucumber (BDD style scripts)
- Experience of automated testing of webservices using Rest Assured or JBehave
