Here’s what you will do

  • Accountable at Board level for broad market, sector, and client growth in revenue
  • Accountable for the generation of new business, lead us into new sectors, bring in market insight and client demand.
  • Lead the Sales and Marketing Function in being a key part of the business, a function that people aspire to be part of, and a collaborative and value driven team.
  • Accountable for Sales Strategy, winning new clients and account growth.
  • Leverage our new Omnicom and Credera US channel sales and develop new commercial relationships.
  • Lead our Marketing Function to support the positioning of Credera with potential and current clients as well as attract new employees.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a senior individual who can lead a team of Sales Sector Directors and Business Development Directors, working with Account teams in creating pursuit and account sales development plans and winning new clients in new markets and environments.

You will:

  • Develop and execute our go to market strategy in collaboration with other functions.
  • Provide sign-off for all commercial deals to achieve target margin.
  • Coach the business to negotiate deal structures that reflect potential and balance risk and reward.
  • Work closely with our teams responsible for Legal and Delivery to balance risk and protect Credera's commercial interests. Safeguard our business from risk by putting in place protective contractual agreements and manage a well-balanced portfolio across sectors and clients.
  • Be accountable for Sales Operations including the creation of bids for project and framework contracts, define demand, analyse sales, and pipeline data as well as develop our bid capability.
  • Negotiate agreements with Credera's partners.
  • Develop our marketing strategy with the Marketing team and plan collaboratively across the business.
  • Be accountable for Business Development strategy, pursuit plans as well as joint responsibility for Account Directors working across Business Development and Account Management.
  • Collaborate with Board colleagues and Business Development Directors in business planning activities - building forecasts, setting business level revenue and EBIT targets, feeding into recruitment and resourcing decisions.

You are perceptive, personable, creative, culturally sensitive and demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence. Being able to work collaboratively in a matrix organisation is essential, as is the ability to manage and nurture varied, senior stakeholder relationships.

  • You have worked in a technology or business consultancy, in a sales leadership role, leading leaders.
  • You understand the nature of both technical and business change programmes.
  • You are a role model for junior salespeople, you have a warm, relationship sales-based style but with an excellent commercial understanding and a keen understanding of contractual law with experience of outcome based and team month selling.
  • You have experience of leading a bid team or bid process on complex programmes.
  • You have knowledge of Marketing and how this supports the revenue growth of a business.
  • You can demonstrate your experience of having grown a business or a team to generate increased revenue.
  • You have an extensive personal network in one or more of the following sectors: Utilities, Pharma, Energy, Central Government, Financial Services.
  • You possess superb verbal and written communication skills. You are as compelling on paper as you are in person.
  • You have experience of working in and navigating complex, political and matrix environments.
  • Your strategic vision, management skills and credibility allow you to gain the trust of C-level and senior clients.
  • Your style is collaborative and open, working with the broader firm to achieve sector sales targets.
  • You are comfortable attending networking events and confident in public speaking situations, supporting Credera's overall brand profile.
