Interim Global Finance Report Technical Development Lead

Job Description
Dentons is currently recruiting an Interim Global Finance Transformation Report Technical Development Lead to lead a technical report development team supporting the implementation of Thomson Reuters Elite 3E Practice Management System, which is part of the Firm’s Global Finance (GFT) transformation program.
Key Skills and Experience Required
The successful candidate must have:
- 3+ years experience in leading a report technical development team of 5+ developers
- Successful delivery of reporting suites for large organisations and business-critical applications
- Experience with popular report development tools eg. PowerBI, SSRS
- Good skills in working with business, technical teams and external vendors.
- Delivery of the Finance system’s reporting solution by working across business and technical teams both globally and regionally
- Effective leadership of the Report development team
- Manage against priorities and timelines using Dev Ops processes, whilst ensuring report delivery meets business and technical requirements
- Ongoing evaluation and improvement of report delivery eg development approach, testing, release management and issue resolution
- Actively manage delivery risks
- Effective and timely communication
- Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
Key Areas of Focus
About You
- Highly collaborative and able to work in a global environment, accommodating the different time zones
- Experience working as part of global business and/or technology transformation programs
- Experience of multinational IT and Finance operations and strong knowledge and experience in IT/Finance practices
- Experience of legal finance and practice management systems (especially 3E) and supporting solutions and technologies (time amp; billing) will be highly desirable
- Experience of working within a fast-paced agile / DevOps project and/or operational environment
- Strong organizational and written communication skills
- Ability to clarify complex problems and communicate these issues towards business teams
- Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities with experience in balancing technical trade-offs
- Be a team player, able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus, and to drive out decisions and recommendations
- Business international level of English both written and oral
- Experienced in creating both functional and non-functional documentation
- You will possess
- Excellent team leadership, communications, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
- Experienced user of MS Office suite
- Be versed in working across cultures and time-zones
- Strong data analytical capability, able to analyse and reconcile data, identifying data deficiencies and working with data team to mitigate risk to business
- Bring a technical "toolkit" and share relevant best practice
- Be adept in responding to challenges and issues as they arise
- Be able to thrive working under pressure, and be able to multi-task
- Extensive experience of working with layers of engagement and approval
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work with a wide variety of people and projects in a collective and collaborative manner.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
Post-secondary education with a specialization in Information Technology.
