Purpose of the Role:
PLEASE NOTE: This is a distributed role so applicants can be based anywhere in the UK. Please note that you may, on occasion, be required to visit the London office so we can only accept applications from residents based in the UK.
We are looking for a frontend-focused Senior Full Stack Developer to join us on a contract basis, and to help us work across a number of different projects within our B2C team. Our core application is built on top of the Django web framework and hosted on AWS. We typically use React, Next.js, GraphQL, Python 3, Postgres, Celery, and whatever else we need to get the job done.

What you'll be working on:?
- Building Zego’s B2C digital products across the entire tech stack, e.g. Javascript / React, Next.js, Django / Python, GraphQL
- Designing new features and systems with an emphasis on scalability, security, reliability, and observability.
- Using principles from domain-driven design to keep our software close to the business and easy to work with as our platform matures.
- Contributing to and launching larger-scale technical projects through our RFC process, such as our current movement from a Django monolith to a service-oriented, event-driven architecture.
- Driving code standards forward through code reviews - all code is peer reviewed prior to release - and contributing to our style guide as part of our Codebase Custodians group.
- Helping to nurture engineers through mentoring.
- Deploying code to production hassle-free - our team uses continuous integration and deployment and deploys to production up to 20 times a day.
What you'll need to be successful in the role:
- We are looking for somebody with a passion for software development.
- You will have experience working with React, Next.js, Python and GraphQL.
- You will have experience with designing software systems.
