Job Description

ZeroLight is seeking an ambitious and driven UI-UX Designer to join its multi-disciplinary Design Team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate and motivated to learn new skills and assist them team in delivering outstanding customer experiences to our automotive clients including VW, Lamborghini and Audi. It’s paramount that we produce the highest level of creative design for these world’s leading automotive brands and we require innovative and forward-thinking individuals to do this.

The successful candidate will be working on UI and UX design for our Spotlight Suite product and have the chance to work alongside our talented senior designers. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and gain great experience.

This role is based at our award-winning studio LiveWorks on Newcastle’s famous Quayside, however at present we are all working from home as per government guidelines. We’ve got a great home working set up now, with plenty of support from our Talent Development and IT teams to ensure that new starters have everything they need to thrive in their new roles at ZeroLight. We successfully onboarded over 40 new employees during the pandemic, ensuring that they go through a detailed induction process with key meetings and training over the first month and beyond.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or similar relevant degree.
  • An understanding of user centred design processes and in-depth knowledge of art-direction including multimedia design across all platforms and devices.
  • Ability to present and communicate your design decisions to stakeholders being open to receive and provide feedback to deliver the best possible results.
  • Be a team player working and collaborating with other designers and developers.
  • Experience sketching and illustrating concepts and ideas using illustration, mood boards, storyboards, style frames, wireframes, process flows and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of design tools, especially Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Creative ideas with a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to challenge conventional ways of thinking and working.
  • A portfolio of professional UI-UX design work for responsive web platforms.
