Job Description

Accounts Payable Team Leader

Reporting into the Supplier Services Manager the primary responsibility of the P2P Team Leader is to lead a team of P2P Associates and organise day to day activities monitoring individual performances and adjusting priorities as per business requirements.

The P2P Team Leader acts as a subject matter expert and point of reference for issues relating to the delivery of the Internal and Extrenal PTP Queries process and make sure Group procedures are followed.

Responsibility is to manage the flow of work through effective LEAN techniques, observing all key business controls to ensure all work completed under the remit is ‘right first time’ .

The Transactions Team Leader identifies poor processes suggesting workable solutions and escalates any business critical issues as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Organise, supervise and monitor the Team activities efficiently and effectively to ensure all SLA’s and KPI’s are met
  • Provide expertise and act as first point of reference for Purchase queries and issues
  • Act as on the job coach for Transactions Associates
  • Act as first point of escalation for resolving processing queries/ invoice discrepancies
  • Manages incoming requests through work flow and schedules activities appropriately
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with External counterparts, other Transactional Teams, external suppliers, internal customers and business partners
  • Strives to achieve best practice performance levels as per benchmarks agreed with the Line Manager
  • In liaison with the Supplier Services Manager identifies and the Continuous Improvement Team support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Organise monthly feedback sessions for the team
  • Evaluates new processes ensuring training material is produced for all team members and they are then fully trained.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments and legislation which will affect policies/processes in the relevant process area.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Fluent in English verbal and written
  • One or more relevant European Languages an advantage
  • Ability to act as SME for the specific Transactional area
  • Office IT literate, preferably with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service centre or similar working environment
  • Sage or any other ERP systems knowledge
  • Track of high performing standards
  • Track of high standards Customer Service
