Overview of the Product team

We believe that product management is critical to Zego’s future success, so we’re building a team where product managers have the opportunity to learn, contribute and take exciting calculated risks. We’re doing this by ensuring that product strategy underpins everything that we do, and that our Product Managers are empowered to make decisions, in collaboration with the engineering team and other stakeholders.

Working in an Agile environment, our team helps to scope and build scalable complex systems, from consumer-facing products to internal tooling. As we move forward, we are looking to embed data-driven and problem-obsessed domain expertise into everything that we do, ensuring that product-based thinking is central to Zego’s decision making.


Purpose of the role

This role is responsible for a broad and critically important set of components that together form our solutions for Zego Customer Success teams. You will manage the existing components and define, design, develop and deliver the suite of new features and capabilities to support our business units - including our Customer Relationship Management System. Reporting to Zego’s Head of Platform Products, in time, this role leads a small team of Product Managers focused on our internal tooling, driving their development and adoption.

You’ll be working closely with senior leaders across the business, especially in the Customer Success, Product and Engineering teams to deliver the best possible products to our internal teams, while also informing how our Product Manager for customer facing interfaces can expose the capabilities in our online interfaces for self-service. As such you’ll have strong knowledge and understanding of customer acquisition, onboarding, engagement and retention through digital products and how to make things simple and efficient for sales and support teams.


What you will be working on
  • You will be responsible for Zego’s internal tooling products and services, in partnership with the Tech Lead, you will drive the adoption, success and optimisation of these services
  • You will work with senior management to aid definition and implementation of Zego’s product strategy and understand the demands of internal and end customers
  • You will own your product set, encouraging experimentation and research to deliver successful components - managing the provider relationships you build to deliver the services required by our teams
  • You will work closely with stakeholders and the engineering team to identify and develop new opportunities that enhance and expand Zego’s proposition and make the life of our Customer Success team easier, reducing manual effort - allowing them the opportunity to focus on delighting our customers
  • You will clearly understand the entirety of our customer experience, ensuring instrumentation, measurement and support for each step and understanding which events can be used as triggers for the next best action
  • You will provide developmental support to your small team, supporting their growth in Product Management skills and capabilities
  • You will represent the customer and play a critical role in re-aligning initiatives and plans to meet their immediate and future needs
What you will need to be successful
  • You have Internal Tooling/CRM and Product Management experience in innovative commercial product teams
  • You have a deep empathy for the role of Customer Success/Experience teams with a desire to help them help customers
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrable experience in influencing technical teams and sales teams
  • You have proven experience of working within an agile Product team
  • You are a natural strategist, holding
