Co-founded in 2019 by our Lead Trainer Krissy Cela along with product specialist Jack Bullimore, Tone amp; Sculpt has grown quickly in terms of subscribers and app functionality, with more than 500,000 downloads to date.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer ( Frontend / Mobile ) to be part of our Engineering team, and help us build the best fitness app for our growing community! This role is based in our London office (You will be working partly remotely until the office fully reopens)
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced, collaborative and customer focused Senior Software Engineer who is excited about our mission to change the fitness industry. The ideal candidate has a track record of building highly performant frontend architectures and / or mobile applications and is obsessed with creating smooth and beautiful user experiences while tackling challenges such as improving performances and development processes.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, and depending on your skills/interests, you could find yourself involved in.
- Collaborate closely with our product team to translate the business vision into highly performant UX/UI for our mobile applications and any other frontend applications part of our platform
- Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
- Take ownership of the delivery process for all our applications and make sure that they successfully get shipped to production
- Create high quality standards and coding best practices for the team
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the codebase and our processes
- Be obsessed with the entire platform performance and constantly check our metrics to find out key areas to improve
- Genuine interest in the product and constantly suggest ways to improve the user experience
Requirements
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience with Vanilla JavaScript and some development frameworks such as React, React Native, NextJS
- 3+ years experience in Mobile App development and deploying applications to Apple and Google stores
- Experience working with cloudbase infrastructures ( AWS, GCP, Vercel )
- Experience with CI/CD development lifecycle ( Jenkins, Circle CI, Github Actions, Gitlab pipelines, etc. )
- Experience collaborating with medium size to large team on complex projects via versioning tools such as Git
- Ability to help in coaching and mentoring junior members of the team
- Experience building mobile or device applications with Swift ( nice to have )
- Experience building applications with NodeJS ( nice to have )
- Experience working with Typescript ( nice to have )
- Experience working with GraphQL ( nice to have )
- Great communication skills
- Bonus 1 : You have keen interest in health amp; fitness.
