Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Operations Manager to join us at Hale Country Club and Spa, Cheshire's premier health spa. Set in the heart of Cheshire, Hale Country Club and Spa offers exclusivity, unrivalled luxury and class leading facilities. With a state-of-the-art gym, magnificent health spa and sumptuous Japanese fine dining restaurant, nowhere offers more for its members and guests.

This is an operational role managing the successful and efficient day to day operation of the club while taking on the duty management of the club, ensuring our members receive an excellent experience every day. In addition, the role will cover specific responsibilities.

We have some extremely exciting plans in the pipeline for Hale Country Club and the Operations Manager role will play a vital role in helping us achieve our goals.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly acting as Duty Manager, taking accountability for ensuring the smooth operation of the club and ensuring day to day health amp; safety and compliance regulations are adhered to for everyone while delivering an excellent member experience.
  • Drive membership headcount and sales adhering to the new member vetting process.
  • Working with the Guest Experience Manager to ensure the Membership administration is being managed amp; actioned efficiently.
  • Leading the team to deliver compliance and health and safety legislation at all times including full adherence to the completion of daily sweeps, policies, compliance and health and safety audits and following GDPR guidelines.
  • Pool plant management amp; coordination with external pool plant management company.
  • Maximising the member experience and member participation through great standards and management.
  • Walking all areas of the Club ensuring a clean, safe, tidy, efficient and consistent working environment for all, at all times.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety and housekeeping for the club to ensure the highest standards are maintained at all times.
  • Knowing our club and engaging with members about their activities and seeking ways to improve their experience at every opportunity.
  • Taking ownership to resolve member’s queries or complaints.
  • Checking weekly updates and cascading to all team members to ensure they are continuously abreast of club and company activations.
  • Working with THG Facilities and contractors to ensure consistent delivery of the Service Level Agreements.
  • Leading the club opening and closing procedures.
  • Creating and implementing department action and improvement plans where required.
  • Delivering ad hoc activities as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing a team in a service led facility
  • Experience of duty management responsibilities highly desirable.
  • Passionate about customer service.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Lead, coach, develop and manage the Club team
  • Deal with customer queries and ensure customers have a fantastic customer experience.
  • Support the wider business as Duty Manager for the whole Club
