About the Role:

As a VP UX Design, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you are in the critical role of ensuring orgvue delivers an intuitive, easy-to-use, seamless experience for both technical and non-technical user personas creating delightful interactions that ultimately contribute to improved engagement, value creation, and retention.

We seek an experienced design executive who has successfully built and launched products for both B2B and B2C markets. Adept at using user research to inform data-driven decision making, you will provide the leadership, framework, and structure to ensure the design elements your team (designers and researchers) are creating come together to deliver an engaging and rewarding end-to-end user experience.

You will be user-centric minded, a great communicator, a creative problem solver, and have a passion for design thinking. Leveraging user insights, behavioural data, and empathy, you will ensure the UX team is user led and embed design discipline leveraging SaaS development best practice methods.

You have experience developing UX teams within a global enterprise and have applied the vital interpersonal know-how to nurture a creative, innovative, and high-impact team. You will work collaboratively with teams across the business, leading with influence, including engineering, sales, customer success, consulting, and marketing.

What you will be doing:

  • Create and drive a user experience vision for all applications across the orgvue product suite.
  • Lead the UX team to align and execute the vision across UX, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide direction to the design and research teams from conceptual work all the way through execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing product team of designers and researchers making sure that goals and expectations are clearly set and understood.
  • Proactively establish methods and tools to accelerate user feedback and consistently embed that insight into our product build and design process. Shepherd evidence-led design processes and influence product direction through research and data analytics.
  • Be the champion for the customer, from identifying their challenges and opportunities in user research, to designing elegant solutions.
  • Deliver succinct, focused, and impactful messaging to all stakeholders (internal and external) that advances our product vision and elevates the voice of the UX team across the company.
  • Manage a team that focuses on outcomes and delivers with velocity and quality ensuring market value creation with each increment.
  • Develop and be responsible for the adoption of our design system, establishing a shared design language among creative, product, and engineering teams to drive quality, build efficiency, and ensure a cohesive experience

Requirements

What we look for:

  • 10+ years of UX design experience with a proven track record of building and retaining highly engaged, robust teams. Education and/or experience obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • A UX generalist with experience and working knowledge across multiple disciplines ranging from product design, information architecture, user research, and UX strategy.
  • You are a strategic and inspiring leader, able to influence and persuade, navigate, and guide at the executive level.
  • Deep knowledge of user-centred design methods for innovation, ideation, and iteration.
