We place a great deal of importance in developing the industries next rising stars and as such we are seeking to provide an opportunity for an Apprentice Laboratory Technician to join our Development Lab. The candidate needs to be conscientious yet energetic, with a can-do approach.
We are looking for an organised team player that can support Development Chemists in the sample preparation of cosmetic formulations to meet customer’s briefs. Working in a high pace, fast turnaround environment, the Apprentice will have the opportunity to thrive in a high-pressured environment where turn around and client satisfaction is key.

Job Purpose
To enable the Ramp;D team to increase output and decrease development time in order to secure new business and meet new product launch needs.
Key Responsibilities and Training
- Support the Development Chemists in the preparation of lab batches of cosmetic formulations to meet customer briefs
- To deliver activities against the weekly laboratory plan
- Label and dispatch cosmetic formulations
- The collation, ordering and labelling of raw materials for lab batches both from the internal warehouse and from external suppliers
- Conduct Laboratory hygiene and GLP maintenance including equipment calibration and monitoring/replenishing stocks of lab consumables
- Admin duties associated with batch paperwork encompassing recording results, methods and retaining batch samples
- Any other duties required to assist the Development, Process or Regulatory technical functions.
Requirements
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be an organised, confident and decisive self-starter who thrives as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and computer skills are essential.
Enjoys the challenge of working effectively under pressure in a high energy environment
An understanding and passion for skincare and haircare products.
Desired Qualifications:
GCSE or equivalent Science, Maths and English
Previous work experience in a factory, customer service, retail or hospitality environment would be an advantage
