The role

We are looking for a talented technical recruiter to join our team to manage and participate in the hiring process from beginning to end. This role reports to the Director for HR and Engagement Management.

You will be responsible for attracting candidates, evaluating CVs, scheduling and conducting interviews and managing the hiring paperwork. To be considered, you have good knowledge of HR best practices and genuine interest in making the recruitment process smooth and a great experience for everyone involved. We like working with people who think ‘outside-the-box’, are pragmatic and who take ownership to complete their work in a timely manner. Ultimately, you should be able to manage our full recruitment cycle and ensure we meet our staffing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Discover staff requirements and specific job objectives. This will include being proactive in understanding new requirements in the consultancy through active collaboration with Sales team, Engagement Managers and Delivery managers
  • Write and post job descriptions on career websites and platforms
  • Source candidates by using databases, social media and niche platforms, like Stack Overflow and Github
  • Evaluate and screen CVs and cover letters
  • Create and send personalised recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills
  • Conduct phone, video and/or in-person interviews
  • Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
  • Contact new employees and prepare on-boarding sessions
  • Prepare new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires. The ability to create objective, well-written and professional notes in a timely fashion is imperative for this role
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Coordinate with Software Development team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs
  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals
  • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work

Requirements

  • You have proven work experience as a successful Technical Recruiter in-house or agency side, hiring experienced software development professionals. This role is likely to be a good fit for candidates with a background in professional services and/or financial services.
  • Proven ability to built a network of experienced software development professionals through direct candidate attraction strategy and execution. You have a solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search) and can provide examples of where you have been creative/innovative in finding the right candidates.
  • Experience of full recruitment cycle from attraction to close.
  • You are self driven, self motivated and resilient.
  • Must be highly collaborative with proven experience in forging strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent awareness and understanding of agile frameworks and the stages in bespoke software development with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for agile software development teams<
