Job Description

We are now looking for an individual responsible for our Demand planning in the business to enables us to further tailor its capacity, either production or service, to meet variations in demand or alternatively to manage the level of demand using marketing or supply chain management strategies to smooth out the peaks and troughs.

An analytic mind will be required to help determine the volume of different types of products needed at different times of the year in order to satisfy consumer demand. This involves the collection of a lot of information and being able to track economic factors and look at things like shipping records.

This role will be offered on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.

The Role

This position will see you as the key link between multiple stakeholders. The customer, demand, and the operations teams. You’ll be gathering customer and demand data and reporting this back to the business. This role will see you;

  • Facilitate demand planning and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Use statistical modeling to analyse and validate gathered data.
  • Manage and amend the production plan to meet demand.
  • Responsible for the preparation of forecast reports and demand dashboard.
  • Use forecasting demand methods such as moving averages to determine an inventory control system to analyse, record usage, trend of demands for current products to support future forecasting.

Requirements

To be considered you will need;

  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint amp; ERP systems knowledge
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills
  • Confident to present to stakeholders.
  • Background/Experience from FMCG Industries
  • Experience with MRP systems. If Priority system has been used this is an advantage
