Arsenal Capital Partners acquisition
Arsenal Capital Partners, a specialist New York private equity firm with a track record of successful investments in healthcare, acquired BresMed in January 2020. Arsenal are providing capital and business advice to accelerate the next chapter of BresMed growth. As industry expands its use of modelling, simulation and real-world analytics, the opportunity to support more efficient drug development and commercialization is significant.
The acquisition of BresMed is the first in a series of investments to form a new value demonstration company in the market access, health economics and outcomes research, patient preference, and real-world evidence space that will transform the way medical advances reach the patients who need them. The new company will support biopharmaceutical clients with the strategy, evidence and communication tools to help maximize the value of their products, guiding healthcare stakeholders worldwide in difficult decisions about resource allocation and access to new therapies.
The opportunity
There is a growing trend in HTA/HEOR for the use of increasingly complex and data hungry analyses which demand efficient solutions. BresMed is aiming the to meet this demand through the development of technology enabled products and services. This opportunity is to join a newly formed team, Advanced Analytics, which sits within the Modelling and Analytics practice area, alongside the Health Economic and Statistics Teams. We are seeking an experienced data scientist with the enthusiasm, vision and flexibility in approach required to play an influential role in shaping the growth and development of both the role itself and the team. The right candidate will enjoy developing tools and infrastructure to support the application of innovative methods of modelling and data analysis in the field of health technology assessment and reimbursement. They will have a strong desire to support and coach less experienced staff in best practices of reproducible data science.
